ETAs for libusbx operability and first release?

I'm possibly missing some email somewhere with a better repo to look at
since I arrived late to the list, but the repo at

http://git.infradead.org/users/segher/libusbx.git

is considerably LESS releasable than Peter's libusb.git/testing at the
moment.  That would be quite embarrassing.   Any chance of fast-forwarding?
