Well, my opinion is that his reaction can be anything between "meh" and 
going thermonuclear (deleting the -pbatard and -mplante branches, 
shutting down libusb altogether, trying to sue us, who knows). So if you 
want an "official" *guess* from me, I'll just roll a dice, because 
that's the best I can do here.

You may as well ask me to predict next week's lotto numbers or venture 
an explanation as to why we haven't heard from Segher for some time (I'm 
gonna go with... abducted by aliens?).

The only answer to such a question is: I don't know. I only will when 
the outcome is publicly presented.

Now, if your concern is about keeping an -mplante branch up, it 
shouldn't really be a concern as I can get you one on libusbx. I already 
mentioned that if anybody wanted their own personal git repo along 
libusbx, I would arrange it.
