libusbx v1.0.9 has been released

I genuinely don't care.

I see libusb and libusbx as completely separated projects, so what the 
maintainer of the former does or thinks bears no significance about the 
direction libusbx should take. Peter will of course do whatever he 
pleases when libusbx is being officially presented to him.

I also think there's a good possibility that Peter is already aware of 
our fork, which makes this speculation rather irrelevant.
