Dear libnl community,
A new release of libnl3 is available: 3.6.0.
Get it from github:
https://github.com/thom311/libnl/releases/tag/libnl3_6_0
This comes more than 2½ years after 3.5 release, with 162 patches.
There were quite some bugfixes, and the unit tests improved. There is
also new API, mostly in libnl-route-3 and libnl-nf-3. All files now use
SPDX licence identifiers. For details, please check the git history.
In the future, I intend to do releases more frequently, and tend
to merge requests fast.
Btw, there is a problem with `./configure --disable-static`. One
workaround might be to not have libcheck installed or not call `make
check`. The fix is [1], but if you apply that, you need to call
autoreconf. Alternatively,
sed 's/^@WITH_CHECK_TRUE@\(.*tests\/check-direct.*$\)/@WITH_CHECK_FALSE@\0/' -i Makefile.in
./configure --disable-static
would also hack around the problem. It depends on what exactly you are doing.
