btw, I didn't find the github repository you linked here while trying
to figure out where to send this patch.  The project page
(https://www.infradead.org/~tgr/libnl/) lists a standard git
repository on infradead.org and a different github repository that
appears to be out of date.  What's the preferred patch mechanism for
the project now?
