Merge glib branch to master

Hi,

In a few minutes I will be merging the glib branch into master.

The glib branch is where we added the glib GObject and Introspection API
written by 	Miao Yu and Milan Crha.  Additionally, I fixed some Coverity issues
and minor tweaking.

Once this lands and we think things still work ok, I will be adjusting the CMake buildsystem
and start requiring CMake version 3.0.2 or higher.

Also, Milan suggests we can remove the older GOBJECT_INTROSPECTION code 
so that needs to be done as well.

Let's consider the glib branch closed.  I will remove it at some point.
