Can you backport the libertas driver from a newer kernel?  Or, to do
it in an automated way, use compat-wireless-old to get the latest
libertas driver for your kernel.

That said, 8.73.7.p3 firmware is available in the linux-firmware tree,
it's marked "sd8686_v8.bin" and "sd8686_v8_helper.bin".
