Just do as Dan Williams said and try wireless-testing first, see

Then notice that you got an error 0x8003 for response 0x8003.
I guess that something got the offsets into the structure bad.
0x8003 is not an error code the firmware reports. So it might
be that your cross-compiler is misbehaving.
Another indication that it is not just a wireless-2.6 breakage is
the "seq 32771". That's insane, because it would mean that 32770
commands have already been used. The first used sequence number
for a freshly inserted CF card is 2.
