Where am I looking? The 'has failed twice' claim? That's hardly a decent
bug report. Put a coherent report in trac, and we'll look at it. Let's
see a dump of the contents of the flash on the offending units.

The userspace tool does exactly the same as the kernel was doing to
program the firmware -- there's absolutely no reason why it should be
any different.
