Hi Hartmut,
In the log you send me I see this error:
wpa_driver_nl80211_set_key: ifindex=17 (wlan0) alg=4 addr=0x4ab35c

broadcast key

WPA: group state machine entering state FATAL_FAILURE
wlan0: Flushing old station entries
Here hostapd requests the WPA_ALG_IGTK algorithm which fails.
Do you have this package installed: kmod-crypto-cmac
