jow drafted some nice updates to the
https://github.com/openwrt/packages/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md
file on piratepad when we spoke about this recently. Addresses a
few other things that had come up recently too, wrt git vs
http(s) sources and so on.

Did anyone else ever comment on that jow? Should we submit it as
a change to that file now?
