[LEDE-DEV] Why technical elitism is contrary to stated goal of community

Also on the topic of bug reports, having some mechanism for users to
report 'I also have this problem, but have nothing new to add'
launchpad-esque mechanism for finding how many people the bug affects
without spamming the tracker with 'me too', would be good.
This helps with
a) higher numbers of users means the bug is probably reproducible
(although me too is sometimes not actually the same bug, if the bug is a
good bug report in the first place, then me too is more likely to
actually be a the same bug, and if you've got ten users on a bug, it's
unlikely that it's all bogus).
b) prioritization; sufficiently detailed bug reports affecting more
users are probably more important than bugs that only one user reports
(i.e. this helps triage), although, to the extent possible, avoiding
having bug reports never answered should be avoided (of course even more
popular projects have their share of those, so that's not going be
totally achievable).
Regards,
Daniel
