It isn't considered as a bug. Some changes were made which cause the issues. We usually only taking care that an upgrade to more recent versions is working trouble free.

You need to forcefully downgrade:


sysupgrade -F lede-17.01.4-lantiq-xrx200-BTHOMEHUBV5A-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin


But you shouldn't preserve your config. Your config was upgraded during the upgrade to the nightly version and there isn't anything which rollbacks these changes.

Some stuff will not work using a nightly config and 17.01.
