Don't know if it's the exact same issue, but I ran into something very similar on my WRT1900ACS going from 15.05.1 to lede-17.01.4. Ethernet interfaces' config seemed fine, but could not connect on WAN or LAN side. Had to revert to 15.05.1 using "off-and-on 3 times" method.
