To articulate better your problem.. the router gets the DNS once then you restart the router? and it doesn't get DNS anymore right? At this point only the router can't resolve host in IPv6 but it has IPv6 so you are able to reach IPv6 direcly.
What about the devices? I suppose they at least get DNS entries configured on dhcpv6.
