A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.

User who did this - Anton van Bohemen (avbohemen)

Attached to Project - LEDE Project
Summary - Kernel 4.9 less reliable than 4.4, at least on TP-Link Archer C7v2
Task Type - Bug Report
Category - Base system
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To -
Operating System - All
Severity - Low
Priority - Very Low
Reported Version - Trunk
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - Device problem occurs on: TP-Link Archer C7v2
Software versions of LEDE release: r5240-e0bd225
Steps to reproduce:
Build LEDE from trunk, with default kernel 4.9, compare same build with kernel 4.4 (simply revert https://git.lede-project.org/?p=source.git;a=commit;h=c84b7eaedd1b3c9b7e3e30248ab3d0050477f6d5 and rebuild)

Issues I have with the current trunk builds are the following:
- Router crashing and rebooting while 'only' streaming local video over wired network
- Wifi sometimes stops responding or gets slow (both ath10k and ath9k radios)

Unfortunately I have no crash logs or other evidence to support this, but every build I tried so far using kernel 4.9 just "feels" unreliable and a bit sluggish. Uptime has never been over 4 days. Rebuilding the same version with kernel 4.4 runs rock-solid.
