I saw it on an AP121U, but don't think the hardware matters

 - Software versions of LEDE release, packages, etc.

LEDE 17.01.1

canutils-candump - 0e3ff3b3-2

 - Steps to reproduce

opkg install kmod-can-vcan

ip link add type vcan

ip link set up vcan0


opkg install canutils-candump

candump vcan0

## reports "socket: Protocol not supported"

cansniffer seems to have the same problem (maybe all the "canutils" ?)

"tcpdump -i vcan0" works OK (and with a real CANbus device).
