Are you sure it still happens?  It looks like this could have been fixed in https://git.lede-project.org/?p=source.git;a=commit;h=d2b6bf141662429d542b23e9e8f44245a77710a5 with is part of 17.01.0.

Please try latest images from the buildbots (17.01.2 and trunk).
