I see where the issue is: module dependencies aren't properly set in the .ko itself between external modules, so the AutoLoad calls the dependent modules itself. My change then finds the dependent modules missing and drops the AutoLoad call.

This results in mt76, ath10k-ct or mwlwifi not working as mac80211 is never loaded.

A workaround is installing any other wifi driver from the mac80211 package (e.g. ath9k) which will trigger loading mac80211, but obviously far from ideal.
