As I understand, it's not possible to implement the correct ethtool interface for this device.
Most SOHO routers have one or two network interfaces (ethX) and multiple ethernet ports (usually five). So, you can't set/get settings for specific port due to ethtool interface [[https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/373681/|limitations]] (netdev for each port).
