A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.

User who did this - Thomas Kühling (kraut)

Attached to Project - LEDE Project
Summary - Wrong regulatory settings for wireless in de
Task Type - Bug Report
Category - Kernel
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To -
Operating System - All
Severity - Low
Priority - Very Low
Reported Version - Trunk
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - LEDE is using wrong frequencies when country=de. In the official papers of the BNetzA[1] only these frequencies are allowed:

 - 5150 - 5250
 - 5250 - 5350
 - 5470 - 5725

With channel=auto my device uses f.e. channel 149 which uses the fequency 5745. In that cases correct configured wireless clients can't find the AP anymore.

This is my setup:

 - Device: TP-Link WDR4300
 - Software: LEDE Reboot SNAPSHOT r3189-12db207

Configuration for 5GHz radio:

        config wifi-device 'radio1'
        option type 'mac80211'
        option hwmode '11a'
        option path 'pci0000:00/0000:00:00.0'
        option country 'DE'
        option htmode 'HT40'
        option channel 'auto'
