Wed Jan 25 05:08:13 PST 2017

A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.

User who did this - Paul Oranje (poranje)

Attached to Project - LEDE Project
Summary - add commit when fixed
Task Type - Feature Request
Category - Flyspray
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To -
Operating System - All
Severity - Low
Priority - Very Low
Reported Version - All
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - In order to easily track how a bug/task/problem has been fixed it would be most helpful to have a list of references to the commit(s) that did fix the problem.

I suppose that a task's status changes to completed/fixed after all needed commits have been (tested and) merged.

Some developers, for instance Mathias Kresin, add comment like "Fixed with ”, but most committers do not.

Adding automatically commit references could be achieved by adding a task reference to a commit, similar [[https://help.github.com/articles/closing-issues-via-commit-messages/]]
