The technical specification of the D7800 say it is a device with 512MB RAM. So your pre-production board is indeed an alien.

I will close this bug as fixed. We are not going to revert the commit in favour of a handful pre-production boards and break all the production boards out there. I guess it is reasonable that we are focused on the production boards.

At the latest when someone sends a patch to enable the full 512MB of RAM LEDE support for your pre-production board will be broken and you need to patch the LEDE source code anyway.

If I'm wrong and there are way more pre-production boards (or just different revisions of the board) out there, we need to split the D7800 support into a revision A and revision B support.
