I had regular reboots with trunk on a bcm63xx board with an Atheros AR9223 wifi radio. Reverting the Airtime Fairness patch, , resolved the issue. jow suggested this:

Please try disabling ATF at runtime using

echo 0 > /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy0/ath9k/airtime_flags
echo 0 > /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy1/ath9k/airtime_flags
