Side note:

There is a general problem with 32 MB SPI NOR flashes on devices based on SoCs without native support for booting from flash in 4-byte addressing mode. Some of the MediaTek MT76 SoCs can do this, but must be configured for this mode using bootstrap pins. I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if the ZBT just put bigger flash chip on board and use in their firmware a patched kernel with that broken/wrong change in m25p80 driver (switch back to 3-byte mode addressing in shutdown)... The only way to make proper support of >16 MB SPI NOR flash on SoCs without native support for that is in hardware (flash reset and soc reset).
