Arjen, I think you have isolated my issue. My LEDE box was set to using stateful + stateless (which I think might have been the default).

I set it to stateful only, and that has given me the global IPv6 prefix + the correct suffix. It would be nice to also assign a ULA-prefixed address too, but this is good enough for my purposes.
