Additional comments about closing: LuCI is an independent project and not part of LEDE base system. It is maintained at https://github.com/openwrt/luci/. Do not get confused by the fact that it is in the OpenWrt repository. LuCI is compatible to and used by OpenWrt as well as LEDE.

Would you please open a bug report at https://github.com/openwrt/luci/issues to make sure that the appropriate people get aware of the issue. It would be even better if you send a Pull Request (patch) including your desired changes.
