If you help me to understand where I'm wrong and how to follow the normal way using the owrt build system, with pleasure I will fix my problem.

Keep in mind that the d-link dwr512 doesn't have u-boot, require a specific format to update the flash and is unable to pass device tree. This is the reason why I used the make kernel_menuconfig to embed the device tree in the kernel image.
