I seem to encounter a very similar (or even identical ) issue on a netgear wndr3700v2: on recent builds after a short period of minutes to hours the radios disappear with little messages in dmesg or log. 

Interestingly I have not seen this issue with r1398 from August 22nd, and r1442 from August 25 also seems to be not affected (but I am only testing this for 12 hours now, so I am not fully confident to declare this issue free).

Both r1512 from September 5th and r1538 from September 8th show the issue for me (I have not yet tested anything more recent than r1535 and also nothing in between 1442 and 1512). 

I hope to pinpoint the time the regression?/issue was introduced and will report back once I have more details...
