I have narrowed down this issue with further testing.
This problem does not occurred on newer Atheros Chipset.
I am suspecting the recent changes to the wireless driver ath9k retriggered the TX DMA Hang issues that plague the ath9k chipset for a long time for old atheros chipset like the AR9132.
There are no error logs but the wireless simply stopped responding
