After a few of weeks of testing the recent fq changes, my comclusion is that the mt76 driver just doesn't play well with them, whether due to frame aggregation like in the past, or some other more subtle issue. Thus, I carefully reverted https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/wireless/wireless-testing.git/commit/?id=bb42f2d, and re-applied the fq-disable hack here: https://github.com/airend/linux-embedded/commits/lede-p. Things are back to the August normal.
