Remove the line


KERNEL := kernel-bin | patch-dtb


from your image build code. If this line is removed, the default kernel build recipe (define Device/Default) from target/linux/ramips/image/Makefile will be used. This should work for your board similar to all other rt305x boards.

I would like to close this ticket for the following reasons:

  * you are reporting a bug for OpenWrt code
  * you are not using the latest LEDE
  * finally, it's obvious to me that something is wrong with you dts file rather than with the mentioned patch
