I could reproduce this using the official snapshot cbca3ae92e28432cc311ef11b3b94b894f7e60de, but interestingly it was working fine straight after flashing and only after the first reboot (after configuring everything) it panicked reproducibly on every reboot.

Indeed the dwc2-driver is the culprit. I reverted "lantiq: use dwc2 by default on danube" ffd7c155008bff4b08197dfd710d7a1386313f98 and it works fine.
