Same problem on TP-Link Archer C2600. Extroot works with USB 2.0 only.
USB 3.0 pendrives have the same issue as above. LEDE version id: r2437+12-7c47f43

[   15.853751] xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.0.auto: HC died; cleaning up
