Details - I have been testing and am also awaiting for this bug to be fixed so i can add a new device(mt7620a) to LEDE.
Looks like there is a bug in how mac addresses are setup as for some time now all my routers are getting the same mac address for all lans and wifi's(both 2.4Ghz+5Ghz)
Bug is obvious so far in the according models:
HC5661 clone(the one am gonna push to LEDE)-MT7620a
Nexx-WT3020 (MT7620N)
MQmaker-WiTi (MT7621A)
All these routers have same mac address on all interfaces @all lans & @all wifi's
It's like  target/linux/ramips/base-files/etc/board.d/02_network  never kicks in
