I don't mean the reserved memory.
I mean the free memory.

>>> 1314 mmap(NULL, 18446744048584523776, PROT_READ|PROT_WRITE, MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_ANONYMOUS, -1, 0) = -1 ENOMEM (Cannot allocate memory)
>>> 1315 mmap(NULL, 134217728, PROT_NONE, MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_ANONYMOUS|MAP_NORESERVE, -1, 0) = 0x7f5927bb2000
I see.
Is there any error messages?
Such as "out of memory"?
How about it without the patch?
Will it occur if double the reserved memory?
BTW, can it be reproduced in other machines?
I haven't get such result in my machine yet.
In my machine, the number of free memory will not always the same
after executing makedumpfile each time.
So if there is not enough memory, makedumpfile will fail sometimes.
But I'm not sure whether they are the same issue.
