Just a random thought: could you please try those two versions formerly from experimental:
 * 2:2.9.0+git20200517+dd2daf0-1
 * 2:2.9.0+git20210909+a75fdcd-1

I have re-enabled some options (WNM, MBO, FILS and mesh networking) in the latter, I wonder if that could have some effect.
