About DPP QR Code "I:" field

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can use the information or "I:"
field of DPP as I wish.

I saw on Wi-Fi Alliance's spec an example where they embedded
the serial number of the AP in it, so I'm wondering if I can actually
put something different there, not related to SN or similar
and still work.

I reckon this isn't too much about hostapd but don't know where else to ask.
I did have a look at hostapd's implementation, for example, here

and it does seem it's only required the information field to not have a
semicolumn and be between 0x20 and 0x7e as the spec says.
