daemonize takes a long time on CAC channels

Hello,

At some point, the -B option to daemonize started blocking the daemonize call
until CAC completed, as far as I can tell.

I am trying to launch this from another application, and was expecting the daemonize
option to cause the launch to return quickly.

Is this delay to daemonize on purpose?
