ssid with double space not stored correctly

I was pretty sure I was not the only one seeing this, as you may guess
from the ssid this is not a test case but a real one. I hope the other
atrocities are more of an academic case.

This happened on a small embedded router where I don't have fancy tools
to deal with it like python et al.
