WG: Debug wpa_supplicant (Ubuntu 12.04)

What I mean with "working correctly" is that the WLAN interface wlan0 can be activated with Ubuntu network manager and if I start wpa_cli with root I get the following output:

Selected interface 'wlan0'
wpa_state=SCANNING
address=04:f0:21:01:3d:86
uuid=b0106028-f7cd-5646-b113-89d480003807

So it scans all the time. I think the wlan device has to go into state like "ready" or something else.

I appended wpa_supplicant verbose info in "debug_info.txt" file.

Could you please clarify what you mean with "working correctly" and how
that output from executing under gdb does not match that expected
functionality? You'll probably want to add some more debug verbosity
(add '-d' to the command line) to figure out what is going on.
