STATE attribute

Hi,

 When we are encapsulating into Radius packet and sending to radius server,
there is a check to see whether its a response to the previous
radius_access_challenge received from radius server. If that is the case,
then "state" attribute is being stored.

Why is "state" so important and what is the idea behind it?
