There is not much point in doing that and no plan of supporting such
option in hostapd either.

This would be the part that should be resolved.. Could you please
clarify what you mean with "Apple devices"? I have not seen issues with
this on MacBook Air.

This actually shows a successful connection..

Since there were no timestamps in the log (-t on hostapd command line),
it is a bit difficult to figure out how long a time there was between
these operations. In addition, it is unclear what triggered this
disconnection.

Which WLAN driver are you using on the AP?
