hostapd with Apple devices

Hi all,

I have hostapd running, all my non-Apple clients are happily connecting.
Can anyone give me some hints on how to get the Apple devices working? Is
it even possible? I have tried adding the following to hostapd.conf, but I
still get a "Unable to join network" from my iphone/ipad. My AP is a
TP-Link WN822N (ath9k I think).

ieee8021x=0
eap_server=0


Any help is appreciated!
