WPA_Supplicant - build library

Hi we want to compile the wpa_supplicant src(
http://w1.fi/releases/wpa_supplicant-2.0.tar.gz) to a library so we can
link it to our project.

However we don't know how to create that shared library so it simply just
compiles it to create the applications.

Using Ubuntu how can we compile the src into a library so that we can
include it to access wpa_suppplicant functions from our project?
