Information about hostapd releases

How to determine hostapd requirements to the Linux kernel?
I hope exists some table which I cannot find out :-/
Release graph do not contain such information.

Maybe exists some release plan for hostapd or some testing tags for
"hostap.git"?

I just want to use netlink message "NL80211_CMD_FRAME" for management
frame transmission in AP mode which is not supported in version 1.0.
