Dynamic channel switch with hostapd

Hello all,

I'm trying to find a way to dynamically switch the operating channel
(and the channel type HT40+ <-> HT40-) of a BSS, without restarting
hostapd. I don't want to restart hostapd because I want to minimize
the impact on ongoing traffic.

Is there any easy way to do that currently?

That would require to send some beacons to announce the switch to the
clients, in a way similar to what is mandated by 802.11h. Are such
features part of hostapd yet?

Any help or hint is very welcome!
