impression that wpa_supplicant is not driver/interface dependent. SO what
do you suggest about using the wpa_supplicant with driver= wired or
driver=test and interface=eth0 to connect with with the hostapd in the LAN
environment. Will it work and if so, can wpa_suplicant scan the SSID of
network (advertised by Hostapd ) in the LAN environment?
ABout the driver_test, it is said that it can be used to directly test
wpa_supplicant with hosapd without involving any hardware. So, do you
suggest I can do something with it. (again the question is of scanning the
SSID advertised by hostapd) by wpa_supplicant to do the association on the
LAN environment.
Apart from this, there was another test directory package (eap_example)
where the test program is written for EAP-Peer and EAP-Server usage for
EAP-PEAP etc testing. I could not find that directory in
hostapd/wpa_supplicant0.7.3. I have got it from some git repo and what I
understood from the code, it is still using "EAPOL call backs" in it as
well.
Any pointer that which can be appropriate way in the wpa_supplicant or
hostapd package to introduce the TCP interface (instead of EAPOL) between
EAP-Peer and RAdius Client/EAP Server/AP for EAP-SIM testing ?
