Question about wpa_supplicant support for Windows Vista

Hello,

This website:
http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Using-Third-Party-802-1X-Clients-Windows.html
Claims that:
"This client runs on Windows2000 and XP, Mac OS X, Linux, and BSD.
Though it doesn?t support Windows Vista or later, it does give you
uniformity of configuration across a variety of other OSs and wireless
drivers."

I just wanted to clarify that the "support" mentioned above means that
wpa_supplicant isn't supported to run *ON* Windows Vista or later, but
that if I ran wpa_supplicant on a linux box *against* Windows Vista it
would work just fine. Is that correct?

Thanks,
Jeremiah
