Scanning

If I initiate a scan (I need this to be able to roam to a another access point) wpa_supplicant may connect to another AP by itself.

How do I prevent this?

Background: I initiate a scan request and then afterwards (for example in wpa_supplicant_event) connect to specified AP (if it is in the scan result list) using wpa_supplicant_connect. During the scan a new PMK will be delivered to the this AP.
